Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm operating in Asia and Africa under Prudential plc, the parent company of Pru Life UK, recently marked a significant milestone in partnership with Junior Achievement Philippines. Together, they celebrated reaching one million students across the nation who have been equipped with fundamental money management skills through the Cha-Ching financial literacy program. Beneficiaries and supporters gathered at the milestone event to honor this achievement.
Cha-Ching, crafted by the Prudence Foundation, is a financial education initiative designed for children between the ages of seven and twelve. This program consists of a collection of animated, music-infused cartoons created in collaboration with Cartoon Network Asia and the Emmy award-winning Children’s Educational Specialist Dr. Alice Wilder. Additionally, a school curriculum program has been developed in partnership with Junior Achievement Asia Pacific to foster positive values, impart knowledge, and cultivate responsible financial behavior in children.
The occasion emphasized the joint dedication of Pru Life UK and Prudence Foundation, in collaboration with Junior Achievement Philippines and Junior Achievement Asia Pacific, a highly influential youth-focused organization. Their collective aim is to empower young learners with essential skills for constructing a more promising and financially secure future, facilitated by the Cha-Ching curriculum.
Sanjay Chakrabarty, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pru Life UK, extended a warm welcome to the attendees and guests. He highlighted Pru Life UK's commitment to promoting financial literacy through Cha-Ching and its localized initiatives, which align with the company's community investment endeavors aimed at fostering enduring resilience within communities. Furthermore, Cha-Ching has introduced pioneering initiatives like "Cha-Ching Money Adventures," an engaging online game and dynamic educational platform tailored to provide students and educators with essential money management skills.
