Dai-ichi Life Cambodia and JISPP Partners to Boost Early Education Quality

  • The Japanese International School of Phnom Penh (JISPP) inaugurated its official opening ceremony and entered into a cooperation agreement with Dai-ichi Life Cambodia to enhance early childhood education standards. This collaboration represents a significant achievement during Dai-ichi Life Cambodia’s 5th anniversary celebrations in the nation, highlighting its dedication to supporting the Cambodian community.

The ceremony saw the presence of esteemed guests including H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport; H.E. Atsushi Ueno, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia; Mr. Takao Sabato, Deputy CEO of Dai-ichi Life Cambodia; and Mr. Daiki Watanabe, Chairperson of JISPP and Think! Think! Cambodia.

“We believe that investing in early education can create a more innovative future generation, which aligns perfectly with our group’s purpose – Partnering with you to build a brighter and more secure future”, said Sabato. “Through JISPP’s Japanese-quality curriculum, we can empower the next generation with the skills they need to thrive, especially in this fast-changing world”, he added.

Dai-ichi Life Cambodia is pleased to collaborate with the Japanese community in Cambodia through its partnership with JISPP. Their initiative focuses on nurturing non-cognitive skills in early childhood, which are essential for children's future success. Through interactive learning and starting at a young age, JISPP provides Cambodian children with a distinctive and beneficial educational opportunity.

“We are grateful for our long-term partnership with Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, especially with our goal of creating a positive, long-term impact through early childhood education. This collaboration will help amplify our mission and bring Japanese-quality programmes to help more Cambodian children achieve a brighter future”, said Watanabe. Dai-ichi Life Insurance PLC is among Cambodia's rapidly expanding life insurers, having operated in the Kingdom for slightly more than five years. It is a subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc., a prominent Japanese life insurance company with a history of over 121 years and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

JISPP is the inaugural international school in Cambodia to adopt the Japanese national curriculum standards and adhere to Japanese safety protocols. Initially launching with a kindergarten campus catering to children aged 2-6, the school is managed by Japanese entities such as Wonderfyinc, Mammy's Family Co. Ltd, Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, Panasonic Cambodia, and members of the Japanese community in Phnom Penh.
