China Media Group (CMG) and Renmin University of China (RUC) have entered into a strategic partnership to develop the School of Journalism at RUC, aiming to enhance journalism education and talent cultivation. The two institutions signed a cooperation framework agreement to leverage their strengths in training, think tank development, and innovative platform creation.
The partnership seeks to build a solid talent foundation to strengthen leadership in news dissemination, with the goal of establishing a cutting-edge mainstream media platform with international influence. Initiatives include cultivating integrated international communication talents at all levels, from bachelor's to doctoral programs, and providing training for global media professionals.
Zhou Yong, deputy dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at RUC, emphasized the focus on talent development, while CMG's Editorial Office Director, Liang Jianzeng, highlighted the collaboration on developing high-quality curricula and practical training facilities. They also aim to form a core expert team and establish a premier think tank for journalism and communication.
Additionally, the two parties plan to create a center for excellence in journalism talent development, launch an intelligent communication innovation laboratory, and conduct various research projects to further elevate news communication education in China and strengthen the nation's cultural influence on the global stage.
