Vietnam and Japan plan to implement Human Resources training programs

  • Vietnam's CMC Corporation and Kyoto Computer Gakuin (KCG) formalized a collaboration in education and training during the Vietnam-Japan Business Forum in Tokyo, attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese Government's delegation visiting Japan. In Kyoto, the President of KCG's Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI), Hasegawa Wataru, and CMC's Chairman and Executive President, Nguyen Trung Chinh, signed an agreement with the objective of cultivating skilled human resources for both the Vietnamese and Japanese markets.

As per the agreement, the two parties have committed to sharing educational models and managerial expertise to support CMC in transforming CMC Education (CMC Edu) into a global educational institution focused on training and cultivating high-calibre human resources for both Vietnam and Japan. Additionally, they will engage in the exchange of faculty and students based on specific needs, while also exchanging insights on the application of information technology in the digital society, aligning with Japan's Society 5.0 model. Chairman Nguyen Trung Chinh expressed that this historic collaboration pact will lead to the implementation of numerous effective education and training programs, contributing significantly to the development of more proficient information technology experts in the future.

Hasegawa emphasized that the agreement sets the stage for mutual support between the two entities, serving shared interests in research and educational endeavours aimed at developing high-calibre human resources. Founded in 1963, KCG holds the distinction of being the inaugural institution in Japan to offer computer training. In 2004, it established KCGI, the pioneer school delivering specialized information technology training at the graduate level in East Asia.
