Tetr College of Business, founded by Indian entrepreneur Pratham Mittal, has introduced its inaugural undergraduate program in Dubai, UAE. This four-year degree in Management and Technology offers education across seven countries and has already enrolled 110 students from 45 different nations, including the US, UK, UAE, India, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Japan, and Argentina.
The groundbreaking business program is designed to motivate students to start and run their own enterprises while gaining international experience. Participants will travel to seven countries—UAE, India, Singapore, Ghana, USA, Brazil, and various locations in Europe—where they will receive global exposure and study at renowned institutions such as IIT in India, SDA Bocconi in Italy, and NUS in Singapore.
Pratham Mittal, an alumnus of Wharton Business School, said, "The first-of-its-kind course is designed in such a way that groups of five students by the end of the course will have established at least seven businesses on their own. Our goal is to create entrepreneurs, not job seekers", he stated. Pratham said the college will cover all expenses for the first batch of students, who have also been awarded scholarships. The college, which has teamed up with other universities across the globe, will provide a degree certificate from Middlesex University.
The first semester in Dubai focuses on "learning by doing," with students working on building a global eCommerce drop-shipping business tailored to the Middle Eastern market. Students will engage with Dubai's dynamic business environment through immersive experiences at iconic locations such as the Gold Souk Market, Dubai Mall Operations, and the Museum of the Future.
Vibhor Agrawal, an Indian student, is enthusiastic about choosing Tetr College due to its unique concept, making it his top pick for advancing his management career goals over other available options. Bill Chapman, a resident of the US, is confident that his daughter Andrea will receive a strong business education at Tetr, along with valuable cultural experiences. Dafna from Argentina was impressed by her daughter Mia's enthusiasm for studying at the college and believes that Tetr's innovative learning approach will lay the groundwork for Mia to realize her ambitions.
Initially, Jivika Gupta, the mother of Antriksh Gupta from Maharashtra, had concerns about the course. However, after thoroughly reviewing the curriculum and discussing it with the founder, she became convinced of its value. The students' entrepreneurial journeys will be supported by a distinguished faculty and a network of mentors, including professors from leading universities and industry experts. During the orientation ceremony in Dubai, notable figures such as Ashwin Damera, Edward Rogers, Viney Sawhney, Jason Thomas, Gaston Fornes, and Debesh Sharma highlighted the significance of this innovative approach to business education.
